The multifaceted, lyric soprano Barbara Grizer is currently performing in Classical, Jazz, Original, as well as Vocal- standard genres. Barbara has performed throughout Europe and the United States. Some of her favorite rules include, “Papagena” in Die Zauberflöte, “Barbarina” in Le Nozze di Figaro, and “The Witch” in Hansel and Gretel and Laurey in “OKLAHOMA”. She has been cast in unique and original works in the New York area such as the lead soloist in Anna Mantovani Opera’s Production of “In a Persian Garden,” a work by the composer Liza Lehmann (based on the central themes of the death and life of 11th century Poet Omar Khayyam).
Barbara has performed as a lead soloist in many concerts throughout Europe including the International Vocal Arts Concerts in Groznjan, Croatia, as well as various stages, and special benefit events in the United States.
Barbara has an extensive background in Ballroom Dance. She has taught at the Sandra Cameron Dance studio and Jeni Breen Tango Academy in NYC as well as Hudson Dance Studio in Fort Lee NJ. Along with performing, Barbara has also contributed as a writer for Modern Tango World Magazine on Alternative Tango, a topic she loves very much.
